Friends of the Fairport Public Library
The Friends of the Fairport Public Library (FFL) is a non-profit organization founded in July 1974.
The Friends are volunteers dedicated to raising funds to support ongoing programs and special needs of the Fairport Public Library and community literacy groups through various fundraising events.
Mission Statement
The purpose of this organization is:
to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries;
to promote Fairport Public Library, its services, facilities and needs;
to sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural and educational life of the community;
and to augment library services, programs, and materials beyond those covered by the library's operating budget, through fundraising activities.
Watch for Pop-Up Book Sales
during Fairport Canal Days in June and periodically throughout the year.
Friends of the Fairport Public Library is the proud recipient of the New York Library Association/Friends of Libraries Section 2021 Daniel W. Casey Library Advocacy Award.
